Making A Point
READ THE CONTROLS THEN FULL SCREEN THE GAME TO SEE THE FULL VIEW
You are a mighty sword. Having watched thousands of heroes wield your blade, and the same thousands fall before the dark mage, you've decided to take matters into your own hands. Climb that mountain, slash that wizard.
If you beat the wizard please post your time or a screenshot of the end screen with your final time!! I wanna see how long it takes for someone to beat it.
Controls:
Left Mouse Button - Click and Drag left and right to control your sword
Right Mouse Button - Click to dash, NOTE: there is a short cool down and you only get one dash in the air, you gotta touch the ground to reset it.
'R' Key - Respawn at the start.
'M' Key - Toggle Music
Known Bugs:
Control Bug - The Mouse Sensitivity is acting weird on some people's machines, though I tested in local web builds, it seems not everyone is having the same control experience, you may need to adjust mouse DPI or Try a different browser, I hear that Chrome is working smoother than Firefox.
Restart Bug - When you beat the game hitting "Go Again" may not properly reset the sword and grant controls, just refresh the page, there's no save system anyway, just unfortunate I didn't quite catch that bug in time.
Gameplay Preview (Sorry I'm not good at these games)

We were given two weeks, I...did not utilize my time well with real life stuff. So here I am at 2:30 AM still making builds to finish testing while I write this description. I'm happy that I was able to make a whole game. The visual assets and music are assets from the Unity store that I've collected over the years during sales and never been able to use. I'll link them at the bottom of the description.
I am a solo dev for this project, and was very excited to push my skills further, I'm sure there's bugs, the end isn't what I was hoping it would be, the only sound is the rockin brass dootin with no ability to turn it down, hopefully its not crazy loud. The hitboxes may be weird in some places, but I can say with confidence after many attempts in a genre I do not play because I suck at it, it should be beatable. Good luck.

Picking up on the controls was quick and easy...putting them to use well is definitely going to take practice, but the progression I've seen already is encouraging!
I imagine this will keep sucking me in until I make it to the end - well done!
YOU CRUEL PERSON xD It's fun! Definitively not the game for midnight but I'll play more of it. It's a little difficult to pull the sword up but maybe that's just my mouse sensitivity but it's good! Great work!
Ahh thank you so much! Some are saying different browsers have different sensitivity for the game, which is...just a little frustrating XD, but thank you again for playing!!
I get that! Our game is laggy depending on the browser it's being played in, which is frustrating as well! But it is fun <3
Worked much better on Chrome than in Firefox for the mouse issue. Really hard game. Took me a while to climb the mountain till I got to the cliff and fell quite a ways down. Couldn't make it to the end. Interesting concept. I think maybe some indicators like your cooldown to dash and maybe an additional indicator on where the mouse actually is in relation to the sword might help? Interesting game overall!
That is really good to know for browser differences! Certainly the biggest thing I'm a little upset about in the end. But thank you so much for playing and this feedback def fits with what my thought was. I didn't have time (I was finishing this up at 4am last night before my 8am work meetings) but I agree having some dash indicator and knowing where your mouse is similar to the highlight on the hammer in getting over it are the FIRST things I want to add to this when I can.
Didnt expect to play Getting over it, the game is nice.
I have just one little thing, maybe the mouse sensitivity could be higher, at first i though the game isnt working.
Great game!
